Harriet Tubman of Africa

The artist views, Harriet Tubman as her favorite historical heroine. Tubman was known for her courage and bravery for her many successful journeys through the "Underground Railroad", which helped free many enslaved Black people. The artist wanted to depict her bravery and seriousness, which can be seen in her eyes as if she has so many untold stories to tell. The backdrop was created with the influence of kente cloth.
